WordsMove Theater Company was founded in 1998 by British director and actor Annie Thompson to celebrate the power of the spoken word through staged readings, recordings and performances in schools art centers and public libraries throughout the Boston area.
In 2020, Lincoln resident Mary Crowe, a member of the original company, took over as director, and after a hiatus during the pandemic, the company revived in 2023 with a well-reviewed staged reading of Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas, performed in multiple venues in the MetroWest area. In the spring of 2024, the group showcased “Love, Loss and What I Wore” by Nora and Delia Ephron.
In 2025 we look forward to presenting a series of short plays entitited “Women Talk.”
WordsMove Theater is grateful for support of the Lincoln Cultural Council and the Mass Council on the Arts.
